The game has gamebreaking bugs that haven't been fixed and display issues that were not addressed. It's been years, so the game has been abandoned in that state.The resolution is low and in a poorly cutoff 4:3 ratio, which results in your items bar rutinely obscuring items in the HO sections, the worst offender for me was a barely visible black glass lens. Expect to have to get by seeing at most half of an item you need to interact with.Aside from the awful implementation, the "story" or background scenes are wholly uninteresting and unimportant.I don't know if other JetDogs games are trashy and as poorly supported as this one was, but I'll probably avoid them based on how irresponsably they put this game forth.This is the bug that ruined my save:https://steamcommunity.com/app/497400/discussions/0/353915309342950542/If you intend to play this game, please make a save back up before you try to interact with the chain or anchor near the lighthouse. If I play the game again, I'll try to upload a save before that for anyone that it could help.. Easy or Moderate Puzzles, fun to play afterall. HOG games are not my favorite genre and I'm not someone who generally gets through them without relying on a guide. That said, I was able to complete 1 Moment of Time over the course of an afternoon/evening and for the .99 that I paid for it? I suppose that got my money's worth. But I can't recommend it. The gameplay itself flowed smoothly, I did not run into bugs. However, I really hated the story itself. It started out whimiscal and had me curious but as things proceeded, I found myself gritting my teeth more and more. The who, what, and why of the curse on Silentville was just plain awful and had me cringing a lot. By the time I reached the next to last chapter, I was no longer enjoying myself and just pressing on for the sake of completion. HOG-lovers who don't care a lot about the plot that ties the puzzles and mini-games together would probably not be bothered the same.. A distinctly average Hidden Object Game, although there aren't as many HO scenes as other games, the puzzles are very easy, and there's a lack of direction that often leaves you wondering what to do next.The graphics are fine and the sound and voice acting good for the most part, but the story is generic and just didn't hold my interest. I usually complete a HOG over a single play session, but 1 Moment Of Time: Silentville took weeks! I just couldn't couldn't play for more than 20 minutes before getting bored and looked for something else to play/do. Eventually, I got around to beating it, over muliple play sessions, in about 3 hours, which is average length for the genre.Others have reported serious game breaking bugs, but the only major one I encountered is when 2 objects decided to sit in the same slot in the inventory, and I couldn't select the one I needed to advance. Restarting the game resolved it. Other problems encountered are achievements failing to trigger and/or not showing up in player stats at all. The click detection is on the poor side, especially when trying to exit a scene and trying to click at the base of screen, some objects are partially hidden by the UI, and clicking and dragging within HO scenes sometimes required a few attempts.About the only real positive for the game is the HO scenes in which most objects require multiple actions to complete or discover, but other than that, there's really nothing about this game that stands out and it's very hard to recommend it, despite it's "very positive" reviews. There are far better HOGs out there, even if you are a fan of the genre. I really wish there was a "meh" option, because the game isn't bad enough for a negative, and really doesn't deserve a positive either.. The game is actually nicely made, the puzzles being not too hard and not too easy either, story segments nicely told for a game of this genre.. and yet I can't recommend it. This game is filled with bugs left and right (like many comments/reviews before this one showed) and I myself also managed to run into a bug, in which I placed part of a key into a machine which I still needed to use elsewhere but had no chance of ever picking up again-- hence, me being unable to continue playing. Pretty game, but sadly I can't recommend a buggy game.. Wife plays these kind of games and seems to enjoy it. The puzzles are a little harder which makes the game last longer. This seems to be an average HOG with a variety of games and scenes to explore, in which case I would recommend it. Unfortunately, it has a bug which meant I could only play half the game (a puzzle didn't appear and due to linearity of gameplay prevented me from continuing) so it's a thumbs down from me.
